Call for Applications – Substitute Primary School Teacher
The Lycée Français Louis Pasteur of Bogotá is looking for
Primary School Teachers (Preschool and Elementary) to provide temporary replacements for the 2025-2026 school year.

Job Profile
Teaching in Primary School within the French education system.
Specific Pedagogical Tasks
The role consists of teaching a primary class (preschool or elementary) according to the professional competency framework of the French system, exclusively in French. School teachers contribute to the school’s main mission: to instruct and educate in order to guide all students toward academic success, in accordance with French curricula and aligned with the priorities set out in the school’s project. Teachers are also responsible for managing their class and regulating learning, with constant attention to student diversity. Teamwork is required at all times. Close collaboration with the Spanish teacher is essential.
Expected Competencies:
Degree in pedagogy or a specialization in education. Knowledge of the French education system.
Mastery of teacher competencies (link).
Experience in schools within the AEFE network is highly valued.
Courses are taught exclusively in French, so native-level fluency or C1 level in French (European framework) is required; Spanish at B1 level is appreciated.
High professional responsibility, openness of mind, adaptability, ability to relate well with all types of people, and motivation to work in a team.
Analytical skills and willingness to learn in order to improve teaching practice.
Demonstrated ability in teaching concepts and lesson planning.
Ability to manage groups of 20–25 students aged 3 to 6 years.
Professional ethics: confidentiality, respect for all cultures, and secularism.
