The Lycée Français Louis Pasteur is seeking to recruit Primary school teachers (kindergarten and elementary) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Primary school teacher in the French education system
Specific educational responsibilities
This position involves teaching in a primary school class (kindergarten or elementary) in accordance with the professional competency framework of the French system, exclusively in French. Primary school teachers contribute to the core mission of the school, which is to educate and support all students toward academic success, in compliance with French curricula and the priorities defined in the school project. They are also responsible for classroom management and regulating learning, with constant attention to student diversity. Teamwork is essential and ongoing. Close collaboration with the Spanish teacher is required.
Required skills
- Training in teaching: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education/pedagogy. Good knowledge of the French education system is highly valued.
- Mastery of primary school teacher competencies (https://www.education.gouv.fr/cid73215/le-referentiel-de-competences-des-enseignants-au-bo-du-25-juillet-2013.html)
- Experience teaching in AEFE network schools is highly appreciated.
- Classes are taught exclusively in French; therefore, French language proficiency at native level or C1 (European framework) is required. Spanish proficiency (B1 level) is a plus.
- Strong professional responsibility and availability: open-mindedness, adaptability to varied teaching situations, interpersonal skills, and motivation for teamwork are necessary.
- Reflective practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in:
- Designing and planning teaching
- Classroom management and learning regulation for groups of 20–25 children aged 3 to 6
- Professional ethics: duty of confidentiality, respect for cultures, and secularism (laïcité).
Working conditions
- Position available from 01 September 2025.
- Fixed-term local contract.
- Some positions are intended to cover maternity leave.
- Full-time and part-time positions available.
- Holidays and school breaks follow the school calendar.

Proposals must be submitted by companies legally established in Colombia for the technological renovation project to be carried out during the months of February and March of the current year.
