What is your role?

At the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur in Bogotá, a dedicated Inclusion Team works to support students, their families, and teaching staff by designing and implementing personalized support plans throughout each student’s academic journey.

This service supports students who may:

    The Inclusion Team

    Currently includes:

    -one inclusion coordinator
    -two inclusion assistants
    -three secondary school teachers, each with specific areas of expertise

    The team works closely with the school nurse and the school psychologist, both of whom play an essential role in supporting and monitoring students with special educational needs.

    The existing support measures

    Students with Special Educational Needs

    • Students with physical or mental disabilities
    • Students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysorthographia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or developmental language disorder (formerly called dysphasia)
    • Students with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
    • Students on the autism spectrum (ASD)
    • Newly arrived non-native-speaking students (EAL – English as an Additional Language / NAMS – Newly Arrived Migrant Students)
    • Students with high intellectual potential (gifted students)
    • Students engaged in high-level or intensive athletic training
    • Students with chronic illnesses and/or allergies
    • Students in difficult family or social situations
    • Children from itinerant or mobile families
